Role: Scrum Master (Consultant)

Position Description

Money Movement NextGen is a multi-year initiative to modernize the money movement platform and the underlying technology infrastructure supporting all payment channels. It is aiming to establish a proprietary money movement platform adopting the latest technology to minimize the risk caused by age, fragility, and complexity, simplify front to back business process and enable key strategic initiatives across the firm. Our platform is built for our field users who perform money movement functions for their clients via different payment types like Wires, Journals, ACH. We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead a cross functional squad for the NextGen book of work. The ideal candidate embodies the firms' core values, is team oriented, collaborates across the organization, and leads with excellence and innovation. The candidate should have previous experience in facilitating Scrum ceremonies. The Scrum Master will support the squad to ensure successful delivery of the outcomes.


Responsibilities:

-Serve as Scrum Master and oversee project development with Agile ceremonies and ensure effective completion and delivery Plan and conduct Agile meetings/ceremonies

-Sprint planning, host refinement sessions, daily stand up, test plan and test cases reviews, sprint demos, retrospectives etc.

-Work closely with Product Owners, other scrum masters, business analyst and QA to progress along squad roadmap

-Review and manage backlog and in-progress items to ensure the latest work status is captured and updated as appropriate.

-Maintain team metrics and report project statuses (e.g., velocity/burn down charts, dependencies, issues/risks, etc.) on a regular basis to Product Owner, and to senior stakeholders.

-Takes ownership to drive through resolutions of issues or blockers, coordinate directly with other development/product teams on inter-dependencies or through scrum-of-scrums ceremony

-Coordinate with team on deployment preparations and execution: deployment script management, support team review and documentations, host deployment verification calls and lead on deployment issue resolutions

-Promote Agile culture, values, behaviors, and principles across business, development and testing organizations

-Monitor team performance and balance workload and help identify continuous improvement opportunities to help the team work more efficiently

-Partner with Agile Coaches to identify and implement team Agile training requirements


Required Skills:

-7-10 years of relevant experience in a large complex banking organization or major consulting firm

-Highly versed in Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies

-Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross functional teams Demonstrated ability to partner and liaison between business users and a technical development team

-Ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications Proven servant leader

-Must be able to collaborate with the team and Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

-Hands on experience to develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents, including identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path

-Experience estimating resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

-Ability to proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency

-Experience in agile / scrum development tools (Jira / Confluence preferred)


Desired Skills:

-Engineering Degree from a reputed institute

-PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification

-Industry recognized Agile certification (e.g: PMP, CSM)

-Previous experience with emphasis on cash management and payments experience
