TITLE: Chief Financial Officer

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience. Minimum of three years in clinic administration, billing, patient records, accounting, and patient reimbursement. Experience in the Community Health Center setting desired. Proficiency in computerized patient data and billing systems and spreadsheet, database and word processing operations.
BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, supervise, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the organization.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports, including Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
- Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
- Supervise staff in billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting as requested by CEO, including provider productivity, patient demographics, encounter reports, and UDS reports.
- Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
- Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with general accepted auditing standards.
- Ensure systems for grants management.
- Manage organization's employee benefits plan.
- Keep the Board Treasurer and Finance Committee fully informed on the financial condition of the organization.
- Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide administration and Board of Directors. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
- Oversee enrollment with third-party payers, contractual requirements, billing and collection procedures, including maximization of revenues and management of patient accounts.
- Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
