A growing, mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Lead Physician to lead an expanding urgent care program serving one of Southern California's most diverse communities.
This newly created physician leadership role combines direct patient care with clinical oversight, provider mentorship, and operational leadership. Reporting to the incoming Chief Medical Officer, you'll partner closely with executive and operational leadership to strengthen clinical quality, optimize patient access, mentor providers, and help guide the continued growth of the urgent care department.

The Opportunity
The urgent care program opened in late 2025 and is entering an exciting phase of growth. Currently operating Tuesday through Saturday, the organization plans to expand to seven-day coverage and, ultimately, a 24-hour urgent care model.
As the Lead Physician, you'll play a central role in guiding that growth while providing outstanding patient care and establishing the clinical standards that will shape the department for years to come.
Working alongside an experienced Director of Operations and the incoming Chief Medical Officer, you'll help build clinical processes, mentor providers, improve workflows, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Tuesday–Saturday | 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
As the urgent care program continues to expand, scheduling may evolve to support future seven-day operations while maintaining a balanced combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities.
