The Opportunity
WFHC seeks an experienced physician executive to serve as its next Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Transformation Executive.
The position becomes available as Dr. Gerald Pierone, founder of WFHC and long-serving physician leader, transitions from his part-time Chief Medical Officer responsibilities to focus on research initiatives, fundraising activities, strategic projects, and part-time patient care responsibilities.
WFHC also benefits from a strong clinical leadership team, including experienced Medical Directors in both Internal Medicine and Behavioral Health.
The incoming executive will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and partner closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Vice President of Operations, Chief Financial Officer, Medical Directors, Director of Pharmacy, and other senior leaders.
This is not a traditional CMO position focused primarily on quality oversight, compliance, credentialing, or physician supervision. The Board and executive leadership team are seeking a physician leader who has successfully led measurable operational improvement within a complex ambulatory healthcare environment.
