Overview

The Psychiatrist provides outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management services within an integrated behavioral health and primary care setting. This position is open to either a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist or an Adult Psychiatrist, depending on training and clinical focus. Providers work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care to a diverse, underserved population.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and/or adults, based on specialty
  • Provide medication management and psychopharmacology services
  • Deliver brief psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities
  • Provide crisis intervention and clinical risk assessment as needed
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers and behavioral health team members in an integrated care model
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and care coordination activities
  • Provide consultation and clinical support to medical providers and behavioral health staff
  • Engage in in-service training, clinical education, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
