Experienced Senior Tax Associate Job Description
Responsibilities
• Preparation and review of corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns
• Work independently and collaboratively with tax team
• Produce accurate and timely tax projections and filings
• Perform research projects in response to client issues and inquiries
• Utilize high level of effective organization and time management skills to manage multiple engagements
• Participate in firm marketing activities and commit to providing superior client service
• International tax research and preparation
• Plan tax engagements and coordinate and oversee staff to meet concurrent deadlines
• Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies and provide support for federal and state audits
• Support client accounting functions related to general ledger classifications, adjusting entries and assisting with tax accruals
• Support and collaborate with affiliated domestic and international Moore Global firms
• Direct supervision of 5 employees (4 tax staff professionals and 1 tax staff intern)
Requirements and skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field
• 5+ years of Tax experience
• CPA License
• Knowledge of Axcess and XCM is a plus
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced business environment
• Organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with direct reports and various levels of business unit management
• Ability to solve problems in a timely manner, using research and reasoning to develop solutions
• Ability to occasionally travel to client locations
• Must have proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
