The Controller will be expected to be capable of performing the following responsibilities:

  • Track expenses, budget, cash flow, receipts, and other accounting and admin aspects of the clients you will be working with
  • Develop financial reports and analyses to assist clients
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain and review a general ledger
  • Formulate budgets and cash flow projections, as needed
  • Maintain monthly accounting close
  • Formulate monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and all supporting documents
  • Ready subcontractor 1099’s, and any other IRS year-end requirement
  • Assist in the preparation of audit packages and board reporting
  • Other special projects as requested
  • Skilled in credit card management and reconciliation
  • Ability to train other staff members



Eligibility:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Controller or equivalent position
  • Proficient in Excel, QuickBooks, and other accounting software
  • Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detailed and have the ability to work independently
  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Nonprofit experience is a plus
