Job Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, handling, and movement of materials. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, maintains inventory standards, and contributes to a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unload products from deliveries safely.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials and report potential quality issues or shortages.
• Transport shipments to appropriate departments or storage areas.
• Store inventory according to established locations.
• Pick products to fulfill customer orders, verifying location and quantity.
• Pack and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Determine shipping priorities, assign tasks, and select appropriate shipping methods to meet schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Supervise daily department activities as required.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• 1–2 years of material handling or processing experience.
• 1–2 years of forklift operation experience.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Basic blueprint reading.
• Active listening and effective decision-making.
• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer literacy.
