About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support their Assistant Controller in overseeing the financial operations of the principals. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can seamlessly manage multiple responsibilities, and possesses a strong background in full-cycle accounting.
This position is 100% onsite in their office on the San Francisco Peninsula.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle accounting processes for the family office.
- Manage and track personal and business expenses for the principals, including personal bookkeeping when necessary.
- Reconcile cash accounts and investment portfolios, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
- Perform financial data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the conversion and implementation of a new accounting software package.

Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial reporting packages for the family office.
- Prepare tax supporting documentation and coordinate with the internal and external tax teams.
- Support ad hoc financial projects as needed to meet the evolving needs of the family office.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a mix of Public Accounting & Private Industry Experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, account reconciliations, and investment accounting.
- Experience managing complex financial data and cash flows within a rapidly growing company.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ability to adapt to new systems during software conversion.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential financial matters.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and wear multiple hats in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
