About the Role

Our client is looking for a sharp and experienced Senior Accountant or Assistant Accounting Manager to support the financial management operations of the principals. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced setting, can juggle multiple priorities with ease, and brings strong full-cycle accounting experience to the table.

This role is 100% onsite in Redwood City, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for the family office.
• Track and reconcile personal and business expenses for the principals, including personal bookkeeping as needed.
• Reconcile cash accounts and investment portfolios with precision and accuracy.
• Analyze financial data to support strategic initiatives.
• Assist with the implementation and conversion to a new accounting system.
• Prepare and review financial reporting packages.
• Gather tax support documentation and coordinate with both internal and external tax teams.
• Support various ad hoc projects as the needs of the family office evolve.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both public accounting and private industry.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and investment accounting.
• Comfortable working with complex financial data and managing cash flows in a growing environment.
• Tech-savvy with experience in accounting systems and system conversions.
• Maintains high professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Self-starter who can take initiative and thrive wearing multiple hats.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree a plus.

Base salary range: $125000 - $140000
