Associate, Acquisitions


We are partnering with a well known and growing real estate investment and development firm who is seeking an Associate to join their Acquisitions team.


This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and involvement across acquisitions, capital markets, and development initiatives. The ideal candidate has been involved with all aspects of modeling for deals, whether they have closed, or not.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models for acquisition opportunities across multifamily and commercial assets
  • Conduct property-level and portfolio-level cash flow analysis including IRR, waterfalls, sensitivities, and scenario modeling
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities through underwriting, market research, and comparable analysis
  • Assist with due diligence including review of leases, financials, and third-party reports
  • Support structuring and execution of debt financing including lender packages, debt sizing, and term sheet comparisons
  • Coordinate with lenders, brokers, legal teams, and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction process
  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and internal deal materials
  • Support portfolio analysis, hold/sell evaluations, and development modeling as needed


Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in real estate, preferably on the Principle side.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, this role is the backbone of modeling for the team.
  • Exposure to multifamily real estate acquisitions is ideal, but not required.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build models from scratch.
  • Argus experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills and interest in real estate investment.


Compensation

  • Base salary approximately $130K-150K Base depending on experience
  • Target bonus
  • Potential long-term incentive opportunities as the firm continues to grow

  • San Francisco, CA
  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office, Fridays remote
