About the Role:

Our client, a well respected, privately held real estate investment firm is seeking a Asset Management Associate to support a diverse real estate portfolio, including multifamily, and commercial assets. This role works closely with senior asset management leadership and cross-functional teams, supporting financial analysis, asset performance oversight, and strategic decision-making across the portfolio.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical skills, comfort with detailed financial modeling, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. There is a defined growth path for this role into a Senior level role, and as the team is small, you'll have a large seat at the table to share your ideas.


Location: San Francisco, on-site 4x week. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support asset-level financial analysis, reporting, and valuation activities across a mixed portfolio
  • Develop and maintain Excel- and ARGUS-based financial models, including cash flows, valuations, sensitivities, and hold/sell/refinance analyses
  • Assist with annual budgets, business plans, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Monitor asset performance, occupancy trends, leasing metrics, and revenue drivers
  • Support capital planning, capital improvement tracking, and project-level financial oversight
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and rent/product positioning reviews
  • Assist with preparation of materials for internal leadership and external stakeholders
  • Develop working knowledge of leases, loan documents, and partnership agreements
  • Support ad hoc analysis related to acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, and asset strategy


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Real Estate, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in real estate asset management, multifamily experience is ideal.
  • Strong Excel and ARGUS modeling skills required.
  • Familiarity with real estate software (Yardi) is preferred.
