Project Manager

The Opportunity

A well-established Bay Area real estate investment and development firm is seeking a Project Manager to join its Peninsula-based team.

This is a unique opportunity for a real estate professional who enjoys working across both the analytical and execution sides of the business. The role will support both acquisitions and development, providing exposure across the lifecycle of a real estate investment, from evaluating and underwriting potential opportunities through planning, entitlement and development execution.

Depending on current deal activity and the individual’s background, the role may lean more heavily toward acquisitions at times and development at others. The ideal candidate will be equally interested in getting into the spreadsheets and modeling as they are in understanding plans, working through project details and helping move a development forward.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the evaluation and underwriting of potential real estate acquisitions and development opportunities
  • Build and analyze financial models, pro formas and investment scenarios
  • Utilize ARGUS and Excel to evaluate opportunities, returns and project economics
  • Participate in due diligence and help identify potential investment and development risks
  • Support projects through various stages of planning, entitlement, design and development
  • Review plans, budgets, schedules and other project-related materials
  • Work cross-functionally with internal team members and external partners, consultants and stakeholders
  • Assist with presentations, recommendations and materials used to support investment and project decisions
  • Track project progress, financial performance and key milestones
  • Gain meaningful exposure to both the investment decision-making process and execution of real estate projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience within Residential/Multi-Family real estate acquisitions, development, investments, asset management or a related discipline
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including experience with real estate financial modeling
  • Working knowledge of ARGUS
  • Exposure to development, entitlement, construction or project execution is highly valued
  • Ability and interest in operating across both the quantitative and hands-on sides of real estate
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and disciplines
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with an interest in continuing to broaden your real estate experience

Why This Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join an experienced, highly collaborative real estate team and gain exposure beyond a traditional acquisitions or development role. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside people who genuinely enjoy what they do and value working together, while contributing to meaningful projects and the continued growth of the portfolio.

Rather than staying on one side of the investment lifecycle, you’ll gain exposure from initial evaluation and underwriting through planning, development and execution. For someone looking to broaden their real estate experience while joining a team with strong tenure, expertise and a genuinely positive culture, this is a particularly compelling opportunity.

Location: Peninsula

Schedule: Four days per week in office

Compensation*: $140-160K base salary, plus bonus potential

*This compensation range is a good faith estimate of the expected wage range you can expect to be paid upon hire.
