Role Overview

This position supports daily payroll activities and assists with broader employee support functions. The individual in this role plays an important part in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, while also contributing to general workforce operations and providing limited front-desk coverage.


Key Responsibilities

Compensation Processing

  • Support the preparation and execution of weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles.
  • Review and verify employee hours, overtime entries, and time-off balances.
  • Compile and reconcile payroll summaries, including tax withholdings, deductions, and benefits contributions.
  • Address employee questions related to payroll promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with annual payroll tasks, including preparation of year-end documentation.


Workforce Operations Assistance

  • Provide general administrative support such as filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Help facilitate onboarding for new employees and assist with offboarding tasks when team members exit.
  • Support updates to employee records and assist with routine benefits-related tasks.
  • Contribute to team projects or operational initiatives as needed.


Reception & Visitor Support

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employees, guests, and vendors during assigned front-desk shifts.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries.
  • Keep the reception area organized and welcoming.
  • Assist with scheduling needs, including meeting room coordination.


Background & Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; an associate degree in business, HR, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in payroll, HR support, or administrative roles is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
