Contract Recruiter – Construction / Skilled Trades & Sales
Location: Coppell, Texas

Position Overview
A well-established construction services company in Coppell, Texas is seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter for a 6–8 week recruiting project. This role will be responsible for managing a high-volume recruiting effort focused primarily on skilled labor, trades, field service, and commissioned sales positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for a variety of high-volume positions.
- Partner directly with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, job requirements, and candidate profiles.
- Source and recruit candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, employee referrals, recruiting databases, and other sourcing channels.
- Recruit candidates for skilled trades and blue-collar positions, including:
- HVAC technicians
- Field service technicians
- Construction personnel
- Skilled trades
- Installers
- Maintenance technicians
- Equipment technicians
- Other field-based and skilled labor positions
- Recruit commission-based and outside sales professionals, including candidates with backgrounds in:
- Solar sales
- Roofing sales
- Commercial door sales
- Residential door sales
- Dock equipment sales
- Building products
- Construction-related sales
- Other commission-driven sales environments
- Conduct phone and/or video screening interviews and assess candidates against established job requirements.
- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines for difficult-to-fill positions.
- Proactively source passive candidates rather than relying solely on applicants.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate candidate activity and status information within the company's ATS or recruiting systems.
- Communicate regularly with hiring managers regarding candidate pipelines, recruiting activity, and hiring progress.
- Follow up with candidates throughout the recruiting process to maintain engagement and minimize candidate drop-off.
- Assist with offer coordination and other pre-employment recruiting activities as needed.
- Provide recruiting activity updates and identify challenges or areas requiring additional sourcing strategies.
- Maintain a professional candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
Required Qualifications

2+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong emphasis on corporate/in-house recruiting.
- Majority of recruiting experience must be in a corporate environment rather than third-party agency recruiting.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting blue-collar, skilled trades, construction, field service, or technical workers, and/or commission-based sales professionals.
- Experience conducting high-volume recruiting and managing multiple open positions simultaneously.
- Strong sourcing skills and the ability to identify candidates through multiple channels.
- Experience screening candidates and evaluating qualifications against specific job requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage recruiting priorities with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Coppell, Texas for the duration of the contract.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous recruiting experience within the construction, HVAC, home services, building products, manufacturing, facilities services, or related industries.
- Experience recruiting HVAC technicians, service technicians, installers, construction workers, skilled trades, or other field-based employees.
- Experience recruiting outside sales representatives or other commission-based sales professionals.
- Experience with high-volume recruiting environments.
- Experience using an ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Experience developing creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill positions.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on corporate recruiter who is comfortable recruiting hard-to-find, field-based talent. This person should be equally comfortable sourcing a skilled HVAC technician or construction professional as they are identifying an experienced commission-based sales representative. The successful candidate will be a strong sourcer who can quickly build candidate pipelines, communicate effectively with hiring managers, and move candidates through the recruiting process efficiently.
