Senior FP&A Analyst

Compensation: Up to $100,000 annually (based on experience)
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join a growing home building organization based in Central Austin. This role will play a key part in financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across construction operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in construction or manufacturing environments and thrives in a fast-paced, on-site setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Analyze job cost data, margins, and variances for residential construction projects
- Partner with operations, construction, and accounting teams to provide financial insight and decision support
- Develop financial models related to project profitability, cost controls, and cash flow
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analyses for leadership
- Monitor labor, material, and overhead costs and identify trends or risks
- Support pricing, land acquisition, and capital expenditure analysis as needed
- Improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and data accuracy
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience

Required: Experience in construction, home building, manufacturing, or job-cost-driven environments
- Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, margins, and project-based accounting
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance partners
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver
- Must be able to work full-time on site in Central Austin
