Senior FP&A Analyst

Location: Central Austin, TX (On-Site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Up to $100,000 annually (based on experience)


Overview

We are seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join a growing home building organization based in Central Austin. This role will play a key part in financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across construction operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in construction or manufacturing environments and thrives in a fast-paced, on-site setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Analyze job cost data, margins, and variances for residential construction projects
  • Partner with operations, construction, and accounting teams to provide financial insight and decision support
  • Develop financial models related to project profitability, cost controls, and cash flow
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analyses for leadership
  • Monitor labor, material, and overhead costs and identify trends or risks
  • Support pricing, land acquisition, and capital expenditure analysis as needed
  • Improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and data accuracy
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience
  • Required: Experience in construction, home building, manufacturing, or job-cost-driven environments
  • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, margins, and project-based accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance partners
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver
  • Must be able to work full-time on site in Central Austin
