The Hire Solution has partnered with a full service brokerage firm located in north Dallas for the position of Assistant Accountant or Staff Accountant. This is an exciting part time position that will grow to become a fulltime role, likely by the end of the year. This position is perfect for a college student, recent college grad, or a candidate who has obligations that limit hours available in the immediate term. Duties are as follows:


Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, verify account charges, and ensure timely payment schedules
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage customer accounts and collections, accurately post receipts, and maintain records
  • Bank Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank statements across multiple entities to ensure accuracy and proper accounting practices.
  • Data Entry: Input financial data efficiently and accurately for reporting and record-keeping purposes. Enter JIBS and Revenue Detail for oil/gas companies. 
  • Document Filing: Maintain and file bank statements and other financial documents.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within oil and gas or real estate investment industries
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas), QuickBooks, WolfPak oil & gas ERP
  • Multi-Entity Accounting: Demonstrated ability to manage financial processes across multiple entities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.


Education Requirements

  • Associate degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.


Work Schedule

  • Part-time schedule with flexible hours, approximately 20–25 hours per week.
