Position Overview
The CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT imaging procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role is responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high quality images used to detect pathology and support accurate diagnosis across a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric patients.
The Technologist ensures patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the imaging process while maintaining compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform a variety of CT imaging procedures according to physician orders
• Operate CT equipment to obtain clear, diagnostic quality images
• Verify physician orders and obtain informed consent when required
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging studies
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns
• Monitor patients during exams and respond appropriately to clinical changes
• Ensure radiation safety standards are followed at all times
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
• Registered Radiographer ARRT required
• State Radiologic Technologist license or Registered CT Technologist credential required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
• Strong communication and patient care skills
Compensation
• Hourly Range: $30.34 to $42.47 based on experience
