Position Overview
The Cardiac Care Registered Nurse provides high quality, patient centered care to individuals recovering from complex cardiac and vascular procedures. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast paced telemetry environment caring for patients post open heart surgery, cardiac catheterization with stent placement, ablations, pacemaker and AICD placement, and other cardiovascular interventions.
This unit supports a diverse patient population and functions as a comprehensive stroke and STEMI receiving facility. Nurses in this environment gain valuable experience managing high acuity cardiac patients while developing advanced critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
The RN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, evidence based care while promoting positive patient outcomes.

• Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5, never exceeding five patients
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and deliver individualized nursing care in accordance with established standards and policies
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Provide care for patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and procedures
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
• Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and sound clinical judgment
Qualifications
• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care cardiac experience or related experience preferred
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• Basic computer proficiency
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Compensation and Benefits
• Salary Range: $30.04 to $41.50 per hour based on experience
• Shift Differentials: $4.00 for nights and $4.00 for weekends
Limited Time Sign On Bonus:
• $30,000 for night shift with 2 year commitment
• $12,000 for day shift with 2 year commitment
• Relocation assistance available on a case by case basis
