Registered Nurse – ICU (Days or Nights) | Fort Walton Beach, FL

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic critical care team in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional, patient-centered care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments. Responsibilities:

• Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity, and understanding throughout the care process
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and medications
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate individualized plans of care
• Maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
• Adhere to all infection control, safety, and hospital policy standards

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of recent (within last 3 years) acute care experience in ER, ICU, or CVICU
• PCU/IMCU nurses with 2+ years of experience may also be considered

Education: Associate Degree required; BSN preferred

Licensure:

• Active Florida RN license or Compact State RN license (must apply for FL license before start)
• RNs with 3+ years of experience and a Compact License may proceed immediately (must still apply for FL license)
• RNs with less than 3 years of experience must pass the NCLEX in Florida prior to consideration if not already licensed
• Certifications:
• BLS – required
• ACLS – within 6 months of hire
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) – within 90 days of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – within 90 days of hire
• CCRN preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $26.40 – $39.60 per hour (based on experience)
• $36.30/hr (approx. 10 years’ experience)
• $39.60/hr (approx. 18+ years’ experience)
• Shift Differentials:
• Nights: +$4.25/hr
• Specialty: +$1.50/hr
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days) / $15,000 (Nights)
• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
