Scope of Position
A fast-growing global beverage company is seeking a talented and driven New Business Development Manager to expand its footprint in the On-Premise channel across the NYC metro area. This role is focused on acquiring new accounts in key segments, including restaurants, hotels, cafés, universities, hospitals, and business and industry (B&I).
We’re looking for someone with strong sales instincts, a proven track record of building new business in the food & beverage space, and an in-depth understanding of the NYC market.
Responsibilities
New Account Acquisition
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business across multiple verticals.
- Conduct engaging product presentations and needs assessments with decision-makers.
- Partner with distributor sales teams to drive customer acquisition.
- Oversee proposal development and coordinate the onboarding process.
- Monitor account activation and ensure consistent follow-up to support early success.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Manage all CRM activity, equipment orders, and internal documentation accurately and on time.
- Coordinate logistics with internal teams and distributor partners for a smooth customer launch.
- Report on pipeline activity, wins/losses, and new account performance monthly.
- Track and reconcile travel, entertainment, and marketing budgets in line with company guidelines.
Strategic Sales Collaboration
- Align regularly with the Regional Sales Manager and broader sales team to execute regional strategies.
- Use market trends and customer-level financials to inform proposal development.
- Serve as a passionate brand ambassador, clearly articulating the company’s mission and value proposition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in food or beverage sales, with a strong focus on the On-Premise channel.
- Proven success in new territory development and account acquisition.
- Comfortable analyzing P&L statements and developing sales forecasts.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Deep knowledge of the NYC foodservice or hospitality market.
- Must currently reside in the New York City Metro area.
