Scope of Position
The Plant Manager oversees all aspects of day-to-day manufacturing operations, driving excellence in safety, quality, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role ensures optimal use of resources, equipment, materials, and personnel while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across all plant functions.
Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance: Lead plant safety initiatives by enforcing all safety, health, and GMP standards. Conduct training, audits, and meetings to promote a strong safety culture and employee engagement.

Quality Management: Drive quality improvement by leading corrective actions, managing product qualifications, and ensuring compliance with internal and external audits.

Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and develop plant personnel to achieve operational goals and build a high-performance culture.

Operational Performance: Monitor departmental performance and financial statements to ensure production targets and budget goals are achieved.

Customer Relations: Partner with customers to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain.

Continuous Improvement: Champion operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies. Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for ongoing process optimization.

Production Planning: Oversee scheduling and production activities to meet customer requirements efficiently and on time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to maximize plant capacity and service levels.

Project Management: Act as project lead for new equipment installations, process upgrades, and plant initiatives.

Inventory & Reporting: Manage physical inventory processes and ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Culture & Engagement: Promote open communication, teamwork, and an inclusive environment that values employee input and recognition.
Travel up to 25% may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment with proven leadership capability.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen preferred.
