Scope of Position

Requires relocation to Huntsville, AL.

Must have high-volume supermarket experience.

Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of a store with weekly sales of $500k to $1.5m and accountable for achieving desired sales objectives and EBITDA results.

This position is accountable for coaching and developing all team members (125+ per store) through formal and informal interactions, while demonstrating the company's core values.

Responsibilities

• Achieve/exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, revenue, profit budgets, and other targeted goals.
• Regularly discuss store-level financial performance, including developing budgets (e.g., sales, shrink, labor expenses, other expenses) and other targeted goals (e.g., safety) with store assistants and department heads.
• Direct store teams in the planning, implementation, and execution of merchandising and operational initiatives
• Work with assistant managers, department managers, and store associates to identify opportunities in the store, develop timely solutions, and create action plans to ensure implementation.
• Drive cost-effective sales by working with store assistants and department managers to produce and maximize sales and profits, reduce shrink, and improve each store department's contribution
• Understand and react to the competitive landscape within the district leadership
• Demonstrate inclusionary leadership, expect inclusive behavior from associates, and support the efforts of the Store, District, and Division Cultural Councils
• Utilize coordinators and other field staff to enable store departments to achieve financial goals and ensure communication, implementation, and execution of the division's marketing plan
• Promote and support strong relationships with local community organizations that the store serves
• Responsible for store staffing, retention, and reducing turnover
• Provide timely feedback to store associates on individual and department performance
• Ensure associates and the store comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the company
• Supervise and coach direct reports on the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
