Scope of Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Leader across Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee to oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, deliver exceptional patient care, and lead a high-performing pharmacy team. This individual will serve as the clinical and operational leader of the pharmacy, with responsibility for compliance, team development, patient outcomes, customer experience, and business performance.
Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Ensure safe, accurate, and compliant medication dispensing.
- Provide patient counseling and guidance on medication therapy.
- Administer immunizations and support clinical service initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, DEA, and HIPAA regulations.
Operations Management
- Manage daily pharmacy workflow and prescription volume.
- Oversee inventory controls and controlled substance management.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance and patient safety standards.
- Resolve operational issues and customer concerns efficiently.
- Monitor pharmacy metrics and performance indicators.
Financial Accountability
- Manage pharmacy budget and labor expenses.
- Drive prescription growth and pharmacy profitability.
- Monitor third-party reimbursement and audit activity.
- Optimize generic utilization and inventory performance.
- Execute company sales and service initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop pharmacists, technicians, and interns.
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching discussions.
- Create staffing schedules aligned with business needs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- PharmD or BS Pharmacy.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience.
- Pharmacy Manager, Assistant Pharmacy Manager, or PIC experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and patient care standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage business performance.
