Scope of Position


As the Business Development and Technical Sales Manager, you will be the primary driver of our growth strategy. You’ll lead our inside sales team and manufacturer’s representatives, acting as the key interface with customers while shaping and executing business development initiatives.


Responsibilities


  • Lead and develop the inside sales team and manufacturer's representative sales channel.
  • Serve as the primary business development leader, expanding our customer base and market presence.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
  • Create and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve growth and market penetration goals.
  • Collaborate with the site Leadership Team and division sales to align efforts with broader company objectives.
  • Cultivate a high-performing, team-oriented environment that values responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor, train, and manage the professional growth of the inside sales and business development teams.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to meet sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Manage the team’s performance and align efforts with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts in marketing and sales to optimize target market engagement.
  • Set and achieve annual bookings forecasts and budgets, adjusting tactics to meet financial targets.
  • Support strategic planning for key programs and proposals, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with other company locations to leverage internal synergies and expand business opportunities.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (electrical or mechanical engineering preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales or engineering, ideally within OEM equipment or motion technology/electronics sectors.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or management role, with a record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proven business development success, with the ability to drive growth and develop strategic relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%, both domestically and internationally.
