As a DC Asset Protection Manager, you will lead a team of associates, including exempt DCAP Supervisors, across multiple facilities and/or trailer yards. You will ensure operational integrity, safeguard assets, reduce supply chain shortages, and mitigate theft and fraud through proactive strategies and data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce asset protection strategies to secure inventory, property, and personnel.
- Oversee truck gate operations, trailer yard audits, and shipment verification to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, or security breaches; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and enforce safety, health, and environmental regulations in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Lead accident investigations, reporting, and proactive safety initiatives, including Safety Awareness programs.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate Loss Prevention Supervisors and uniformed guards.
- Partner with DC leadership and finance teams to support annual inventory execution and periodic cycle counts.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the DCAP team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
- Identify training needs and implement development programs to strengthen team capabilities.
- Leverage data, WMS, YMS, and reporting tools to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and deliver reports on security incidents, losses, and operational performance to leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align with company initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Wicklander/Zulawski Interview Training required.
- 5+ years of experience in retail/distribution security or loss prevention with supervisory responsibility.
- Strong background in incident investigation, crisis management, and shortage reduction.
- Demonstrated success leading large teams and driving high levels of engagement and performance.
- Ability to travel between distribution centers and to 3rd-party pool points (3–5 times annually).
Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Flexible availability to support a 24/7 distribution operation, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to work in a mix of office and floor environments, with extended periods of walking or standing.
- Frequent travel within a 25-mile radius between distribution sites; occasional travel outside this range as needed.
