Scope of Position
Our Client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and ensure maximum equipment uptime and production reliability within our manufacturing facility.
This role is responsible for maintaining operational efficiency across plant equipment while leading a team of maintenance technicians to support safe, high-quality, and on-time production.
Reporting to plant leadership, the Maintenance Supervisor will drive preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability improvements, and troubleshooting efforts while collaborating closely with production, quality, and safety teams.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can mentor technicians, solve complex mechanical issues, and help build a strong maintenance culture focused on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Lead Maintenance Operations
- Supervise and support maintenance technicians across assigned shifts
- Ensure timely maintenance and repair of production equipment to maximize uptime
- Assign daily work priorities and manage technician schedules
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and operational issues
- Support production teams to minimize downtime and maintain throughput
Drive Equipment Reliability
- Manage and improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Monitor lubrication and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance
- Track downtime and implement solutions to improve equipment performance
- Lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with regulatory and quality requirements
- Maintain safe operating conditions for all plant equipment and facilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide coaching, technical training, and development for maintenance staff
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
- Ensure technicians are properly trained and deployed on the production floor
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
- Support installation, modification, and improvement of production equipment
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when needed
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures and standard operating processes
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing maintenance teams
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and production equipment
- Experience implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in food or beverage manufacturing
- Familiarity with ERP systems, maintenance tracking software, and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across production and engineering teams
