Warehouse Manager

Scope of Position


The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, material handling, and production support, to ensure efficient product flow and on-time delivery. This role plays a key part in maintaining product quality, food safety compliance, and operational efficiency across the supply chain. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team dedicated to accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities


Operational Leadership

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring timely movement of materials between production, outside storage, and customers.
  • Plan and schedule daily workloads to meet shipping, receiving, and production support needs.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with company SOPs, GMPs, AIB, and safety standards.
  • Ensure all material handling equipment and vehicles are maintained and safe for operation.

Team Management & Training

  • Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to ensure operational excellence and safety compliance.
  • Oversee onboarding and training programs for new hires, including AIB, GMP, and forklift certification.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Inventory & Materials Coordination

  • Collaborate with Supply & Demand, Production, and Inventory teams to ensure raw materials and packaging are available for daily production.
  • Support cycle counting, reconciliation, and accurate documentation of all inventory transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, billing issues, and BOL variances with cold storage partners.

Scheduling & Logistics

  • Review production, inbound, and outbound schedules daily to ensure proper staffing and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate driver schedules and trailer rotations to support material flow and refrigerated equipment maintenance.
  • Partner with Supply & Demand Coordinators to manage finished goods inventory and ensure timely outbound shipments.

Performance & Reporting

  • Track and report daily KPI metrics (productivity, accuracy, on-time delivery).
  • Maintain and update visual management tools, including productivity boards and shift summaries.
  • Support financial accuracy by verifying payroll hours, vehicle mileage, and inventory-related billing.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance safety.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve process bottlenecks and implement best practices.


Qualifications


Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP or WMS systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Food & Beverage Manufacturing or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with cold storage logistics and perishable product handling.
  • Knowledge of AIB, GMP, and food safety standards.
