Job Title: Site Electrician – Utility-Scale Solar

Schedule: On-site | On-call rotation required
1. About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Electrician to support operations at our 2 x 100 MW utility-scale solar facilities in Highlands County, Florida.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining plant reliability, executing preventative maintenance programs, responding to electrical faults, and supporting storm readiness efforts in a fast-paced utility-scale environment. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, technically strong, and comfortable working independently in an outdoor field setting.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and troubleshoot central inverter systems (Sungrow SG3600UD-MV or similar).
• Inspect and maintain DC systems, string circuits, and Load Break Disconnects (LBDs).
• Execute preventative maintenance activities in accordance with the site maintenance program.
• Perform torque checks, infrared scans, grounding verification, and electrical inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve inverter trips, DC faults, blown fuses, breaker trips, and communication issues.
• Respond to plant alarms and performance alerts.
• Support hurricane preparedness and post-storm inspections.
• Conduct inspections of trackers, inverter pads, and electrical enclosures following severe weather events.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation in site systems.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all site safety requirements.
3. Qualifications
Required
• Journeyman-level electrical experience or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years of industrial, power generation, or utility-scale solar experience.
• Strong DC troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Experience working safely around energized electrical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
• Experience with central inverter platforms.
• Experience at solar facilities 50 MW or larger.
• NFPA 70E training or equivalent electrical safety certification.
