About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Project Manager to lead utility-scale renewable energy projects from development through construction and commercial operation. In this role, you’ll serve as the central point of coordination across cross-functional teams, external partners, and key stakeholders—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with regulatory and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with strong leadership and communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment where problem-solving and collaboration are key to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle project management for renewable energy assets (solar, wind, storage) from early-stage development through construction close-out
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets; proactively manage changes to scope, timeline, or costs
• Coordinate with development, engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction teams to ensure all milestones are met
• Manage interconnection and permitting processes, including coordination with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and local AHJs
• Act as primary point of contact for contractors, consultants, landowners, and other project stakeholders
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance
• Lead RFQ and RFP processes for vendors and subcontractors, including bid review and contract negotiation
• Support EPC and equipment procurement decisions in collaboration with internal technical teams
• Ensure compliance with environmental, utility, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution
• Track project performance and prepare detailed progress reports for internal leadership and investors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field
• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or BESS)
• Proven success delivering projects ranging from 5 MW to 100+ MW
• Strong understanding of construction workflows, electrical systems, permitting, and interconnection processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools; familiarity with CAD and GIS tools a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills; ability to manage diverse stakeholders
• Comfortable with a mix of fieldwork and remote coordination
• Ability to travel up to 25–50% depending on project needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification
• Experience with contract development and negotiations
• Familiarity with utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) implementation
• Knowledge of incentive programs, tax equity structures, and renewable project finance
