Position: Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Holmdel, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days on-site per week)
Compensation: Up to $145K Base Salary + Stock Options (flexibility for exceptional candidates)
About The Opportunity:
We are seeking a hands-on Machine Learning Engineer to join our client's growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for machine learning, data manipulation, and building better models. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in training, fine-tuning, and improving ML models while working in a highly collaborative, Agile Scrum environment.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support software for Linux applications.
- Work closely with the Support Organization to resolve customer issues.
- Train, evaluate, and fine-tune ML models, focusing on identifying weaknesses and making improvements.
- Translate forward-looking research into production-ready code/models.
- Collaborate with Scrum team members to design, develop, and integrate software components.
- Support QA activities by reviewing test plans and assisting during test phases.
- Work with Support and Product Management to address technical and product requirements.
- Provide technical leadership for medium-to-large teams and features.
Key Requirements:
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
- Experience in the ongoing development and maintenance of ML models, with a focus on anomaly detection, fraud detection, or ransomware detection.

Proficiency in C and Python programming for Linux environments.

Experience with Python libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work across different time zones with teams in the U.S. and Asia.
- Desire and ability to learn new technologies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (MS or Ph.D. preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in developing scalable and performance-oriented data structures and algorithms.

Experience with version control tools like svn and git, and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of shell scripting on Linux and Windows.
- A minimum of 7–10 years of professional experience in software engineering.
