Texas Preferred (REMOTE ELIGIBLE)
Our client, a leading property and casualty insurance provider, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support enterprise-wide data-driven decision making. This role is critical to enabling analytics and insights that directly inform business strategy. The right candidate will work closely with actuaries, business leaders, and technical teams to improve operational efficiency and unlock value from the company's data assets.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex datasets from legacy systems and modern data environments (including Guidewire and Azure-based platforms) to support actuarial and business operations.
- Work closely with actuaries and other business leaders to reduce their ad hoc analytical burden by providing structured data support and insights.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building repeatable, efficient analytical processes within a startup-like department structure inside a mature insurance organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in data analysis, preferably within the P&C insurance sector. Exposure to personal lines is ideal but not required.
- Strong SQL and Power BI skills required; experience with Python or R and familiarity with Azure data tools (e.g., Data Factory or Databricks) is a plus.
- Demonstrated team player and mentor with strong communication skills and a willingness to help build a growing data office. Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, startup-like team within a large company.
