Annualized Compensation: Approximately $37,440 – $41,600/year (based on 2-day schedule; additional earning potential with expanded hours)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join a specialty periodontal practice committed to delivering high-quality, concierge-level care. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative clinical environment with one-hour recall appointments, with a strong emphasis on periodontal therapy, patient education, and clinical excellence.
You will be supported by a highly engaged clinical team and have access to ongoing professional development, including participation in a Hygiene Executive Committee that helps guide clinical excellence and growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on education and trust-building
- Perform periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and other hygiene procedures in alignment with doctor treatment plans
- Identify signs of periodontal disease, oral pathology, and overall oral health concerns
- Take and interpret radiographs and intraoral images
- Accurately document patient medical histories, conditions, and treatment notes
- Collaborate closely with the periodontist and clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond appropriately to any medical or dental emergencies during treatment
- Educate patients on periodontal health, oral hygiene techniques, and ongoing preventative care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Connecticut
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical knowledge of hygiene procedures, patient screening, and documentation
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset
- Prior periodontal experience strongly preferred
- Any additional certification or license required by the state to perform assigned duties
