Dental Hygienist (Part-Time)
Location: Toledo, OH 43623
Pay Range: $43–$48/hour
Annualized Range: Approximately $35,800–$39,900 per year based on a 16-hour work week
Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to join a periodontal-focused dental practice in Toledo, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a hygienist who enjoys providing comprehensive periodontal and preventive care while developing long-term relationships with patients.
The position offers a consistent two-day schedule with the opportunity to add additional hours at other practices in the area for candidates interested in expanding their schedule.
Our hygienists are given the time and resources necessary to provide thorough, patient-centered care in a modern, safety-focused clinical environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner while building trust and rapport with patients
- Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and provide appropriate periodontal maintenance and preventive care
- Identify signs of periodontal disease, oral pathology, and potential oral cancers
- Thoroughly review and document patient medical histories and chief complaints
- Take diagnostic x-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and monitor patient progress
- Perform precise dental hygiene procedures aligned with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist
- Monitor periodontal health and accurately document clinical findings
- Respond appropriately to unexpected developments during patient treatment and implement emergency measures when necessary
- Educate patients on periodontal health, oral hygiene techniques, at-home care, and long-term maintenance
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation
- Collaborate closely with doctors and other members of the clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience
Qualifications
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in Ohio
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, periodontal assessment, patient screening, and clinical documentation
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
- Previous periodontal experience is a plus
- Any additional certification or licensure required by the State of Ohio to perform assigned duties
