Dental Hygienist (Full-Time)

Pay Range: $50–$54/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join a modern dental practice that prioritizes quality care with one-hour recall appointments. This role focuses on concierge-level patient experiences, thorough clinical documentation, and collaboration with the clinical team. Hygienists have opportunities for professional growth through a Hygiene Executive Committee that supports and leads the hygiene team.

Schedule

• Monday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
• Tuesday: OFF
• Wednesday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Thursday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
• Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
• One Saturday per month: 8:00am – 2:00pm (September–June only)

Additional Scheduling Notes

• May be flexible to part-time coverage on Wednesday, Friday, and one Saturday per month (September–June)

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner while building trust with patients
• Enhance oral health by identifying signs of periodontal disease and potential oral cancers
• Thoroughly document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints
• Take x-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and monitor progress/changes
• Perform precise oral hygiene procedures aligned with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist
• Respond appropriately to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment and implement emergency measures when needed
• Provide clear instructions for at-home care and ongoing oral health maintenance

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in New Jersey
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including hygiene procedures, patient screening, and meticulous documentation
• Any additional certification or license required by the state to perform assigned duties
