Dental Hygienist

Location: Abington, MA 02351

Pay Range: $50–$58/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a modern dental practice with one-hour recall appointments and a strong emphasis on quality care, patient trust, and clinical excellence. This role supports thorough preventive care, accurate documentation, and a concierge-level patient experience. Hygienists also have opportunities for professional growth through a Hygiene Executive Committee that supports and leads the hygiene team.

• Monday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Tuesday: OFF
• Wednesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm

• Tuesday hours are not currently available at this location; there may be Tuesday availability at a nearby site

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner while building trust with patients
• Enhance oral health by identifying signs of periodontal disease and potential oral cancers
• Thoroughly document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints
• Take x-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and monitor progress/changes
• Perform precise oral hygiene procedures aligned with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist
• Respond appropriately to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment and implement emergency measures when needed
• Provide clear instructions for at-home care and ongoing oral health maintenance

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in Massachusetts
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including hygiene procedures, patient screening, and meticulous documentation
• Any additional certification or license required by the state to perform assigned duties
