Marketing Manager / Director – Brand & Strategic Communications
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and resourceful Marketing Manager / Director to lead brand management, strategic partnerships, conference coordination, and organizational communications for a fast-growing company headquartered in Sarasota, Florida.
This is a newly created position designed to support the company’s continued expansion and increasing national visibility within the transportation and logistics industry.
This role is not focused on digital advertising, online lead generation, or paid media campaigns. Instead, this individual will serve as the central point of coordination for brand presence, industry engagement, sponsorships, communications, and conference management.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives in a high-growth environment, operates well autonomously, and brings strong organizational discipline alongside strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and strengthen overall company brand positioning and visibility
- Coordinate industry conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, and corporate events
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key industry associations and partnerships, including:
- Florida Trucking Association
- Texas Trucking Association
- American Trucking Associations
- Truckload Carriers Association
- Manage sponsorship deliverables, speaking engagements, conference logistics, and event coordination
- Oversee external communications and ensure brand consistency across all channels
- Coordinate internal and external messaging initiatives
- Manage marketing-related budgets and vendor relationships
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership on strategic brand initiatives and growth opportunities
- Support organizational expansion through enhanced industry presence and partnership development
- Identify opportunities to improve brand awareness and market engagement
- Assist with ongoing content coordination and communications initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field preferred
- 3–8+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, communications, event coordination, or related functions
- Experience coordinating conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, or industry events strongly preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strategic mindset with strong attention to detail and execution
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM/marketing platforms is a strong plus
- Transportation, logistics, education, or association industry experience is beneficial but not required

Position Details
- Location: Sarasota, Florida (Onsite Required)
- Travel: Approximately 15–20 travel days annually for conferences and industry events
