LTL Linehaul Manager

Are you an experienced LTL Linehaul leader who knows how to keep freight moving, control costs, and build a high-performing operation?

We're looking for an LTL Linehaul Manager to join the team of linehaul operations and play a critical role in the performance of a growing transportation organization.

This is more than a dispatch or transportation management position. We're looking for a leader who understands the complexities of LTL linehaul networks, knows how to optimize routes and capacity, and can hold an operation accountable for safety, service, productivity, and cost.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily LTL linehaul operations and ensure freight moves efficiently between terminals.
• Manage linehaul schedules, routes, dispatch, capacity, and driver resources.
• Optimize equipment and driver utilization while minimizing empty miles and unnecessary costs.
• Monitor and improve on-time departures, transit performance, and service reliability.
• Analyze linehaul performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, coach, and develop drivers, dispatchers, and linehaul personnel.
• Partner with terminal and operations leadership to ensure seamless freight flow.
• Work closely with Safety and Maintenance to maintain a safe, compliant, and reliable operation.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase network efficiency.
• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of transportation operations experience, with significant LTL experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in LTL linehaul operations.
• Strong understanding of linehaul routing, scheduling, relay operations, and capacity planning.
• Proven ability to manage operational KPIs and control transportation costs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using TMS, transportation analytics, or routing systems is highly preferred.
• A track record of improving service, productivity, and operational performance.
