Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst to support the analysis, development, testing, and implementation of technology solutions that align with organizational project management and systems engineering standards. This role will act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined, solutions are effectively delivered, and applications meet quality standards. The Programmer Analyst will also support Agile delivery processes, testing coordination, and documentation efforts across multiple IT initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis and Requirements Management
· Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to identify business needs and impacted processes.
· Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
· Document and analyze business processes and recommend technology solutions.
· Collaborate with product owners to develop clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
· Assist in prioritizing product backlogs based on business value, risk, and dependencies.
· Develop system diagrams and data flow documentation to support project initiatives.
Project Support and Agile Delivery
· Support project planning activities and validate project schedules and estimates.
· Participate in solution design discussions and architecture review processes.
· Conduct Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
· Review project documentation to ensure alignment with project management standards.
· Maintain effective communication plans with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
· Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external consultants or vendors.
Testing, Quality Assurance, and Training
· Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability documentation.
· Validate test data and test results to ensure quality standards are met.
· Perform functional and regression testing and support user acceptance testing.
· Monitor defect tracking logs and facilitate issue resolution.
· Differentiate between defects and enhancement requests and initiate change requests.
· Develop training materials and facilitate end-user training sessions.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Experience working in Agile or hybrid development environments.
· Strong experience translating business requirements into user stories and functional documentation.
· Ability to break down complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
· Experience working with vendor-supported or third-party technology solutions.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience documenting business processes and technical workflows.
Preferred Skills
· 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or similar role.
· 4+ years of experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
· Experience using work management tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
· Experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
· Experience working with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
· Experience supporting enterprise IT projects.
