Your Role

We’re searching for a Senior Data Scientist with a Computer Vision specialization to take a lead role in building advanced video classification models. In this position, you’ll engineer and optimize deep learning pipelines designed to parse and interpret massive volumes of short- and long-form video content from top social platforms. Leveraging modern architectures—including transformer-based and multimodal models—you’ll collaborate with ML, MLOps, and data engineering experts to build layered AI systems that operate at scale.

You’ll help them stay on the leading edge of machine learning by applying new research, experimenting with fresh modeling approaches, and delivering production-ready systems that enhance brand safety, content understanding, and contextual relevance. Your Day-to-Day Might Include

• Developing and training image and video classification models to power large-scale content recognition systems
• Designing, deploying, and refining compound AI systems that leverage LLMs and RAG techniques to augment visual classification
• Processing and analyzing multi-terabyte datasets of social media content using scalable Python and SQL-based workflows
• Implementing ML pipelines and feature engineering using Ray, Pandas, and DBT
• Managing and optimizing inference workflows using tools like Triton Inference Server, ONNX, and TensorRT
• Maintaining rigorous testing, documentation, and code quality standards for all deliverables
• Collaborating closely with teams responsible for infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes), observability (Datadog), and CI/CD (ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions)
• Tracking the latest research in vision-language modeling and integrating relevant findings into new prototypes and products
• Contributing to architecture and roadmap discussions for ML and data science initiatives

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, with a focus on computer vision
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field
• Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL (Snowflake preferred)
• Experience designing, building, and deploying ML models, especially in distributed environments
• Familiarity with LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• Solid grounding in software engineering principles including algorithms, data structures, and system design
• Comfort with cross-functional collaboration, including giving and receiving code reviews
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for learning and experimenting with new ML tools and ideas
