Jr. Product Manager

Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience

Position Overview

Are you an analytical, curious professional looking to build a career in Product Management within the financial services industry?

We are seeking a Jr. Product Manager to help support the strategy, development, optimization, and ongoing management of financial products, with an initial emphasis on credit and payment solutions.

This position is ideal for an emerging product professional who enjoys working at the intersection of business, technology, data, and customer experience. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced product leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate product performance, identify opportunities for improvement, define business requirements, and help bring new capabilities and enhancements to market.

This is an excellent opportunity for an MBA graduate, MBA candidate, business analyst, data analyst, consultant, or high-potential professional looking to transition into Product Management and develop long-term expertise within financial services.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the planning, development, enhancement, and ongoing management of financial products.
• Analyze product performance, customer behavior, market trends, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and support product decisions.
• Use SQL and other analytical tools to investigate data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
• Support initiatives related to credit card and payment products, including product configuration, pricing, processes, and operational improvements.
• Work closely with senior product leaders to define requirements, evaluate alternatives, document processes, and coordinate initiatives through delivery.
• Partner with technology and IT teams to investigate issues, communicate business requirements, and help develop effective solutions.
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving business, technology, operations, data, and other stakeholders.
• Help establish project priorities, monitor timelines, track deliverables, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Conduct market and competitive research to help identify new product opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Assist with developing business cases, presentations, financial analyses, recommendations, and other materials used to support product decisions.
• Help evaluate the effectiveness of existing products and processes and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and overall customer experience.
• Develop a strong understanding of financial products, supporting technology platforms, data, processes, and business objectives.
• Gradually assume greater product ownership and responsibility as knowledge and experience grow.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• MBA strongly preferred; candidates currently pursuing an MBA are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated interest in building a career in Product Management, preferably within financial services, fintech, payments, or technology.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with a demonstrated ability to turn information into actionable recommendations.
• Experience working with data and familiarity with SQL strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex business and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, data, operations, and leadership teams.
• Financial services, banking, lending, credit card, payments, or fintech experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and comfortable learning new systems, products, and business processes.
