Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to lead business analysis activities across complex technology initiatives while ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role is responsible for requirements discovery, process improvement, quality assurance coordination, and supporting Agile delivery practices. The Senior IT Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, product teams, developers, and quality assurance teams to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions and ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis Leadership
· Lead requirements gathering sessions including stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops.
· Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
· Develop and maintain business and functional requirements documentation.
· Perform gap analysis and impact analysis for system changes and enhancements.
· Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and QA teams.
· Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business analysts.
Agile Delivery and Project Support
· Manage product backlogs, user stories, and defects using Agile management tools.
· Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to prioritize work and plan sprints.
· Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
· Track project progress, testing activities, and defect resolution.
· Ensure requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
Quality Assurance and Testing Support
· Define and review testing strategies, test plans, and test cases.
· Support functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
· Coordinate defect tracking and resolution processes.
· Ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
· Collaborate with QA teams to ensure appropriate test coverage and validation.
Process Improvement and Documentation
· Identify opportunities to improve business processes and system efficiencies.
· Recommend technology improvements and automation opportunities.
· Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, and business rules.
· Present analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
· Support change management and system adoption activities.
· Ensure clear communication between business and technical teams.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting enterprise technology projects.
· Strong experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
· Experience supporting the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
· Experience managing requirements, user stories, and defects in Agile management tools.
· Strong experience supporting software testing and quality assurance processes.
· Experience writing functional specifications, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
· Experience working in large enterprise or multi-team Agile environments.
· Familiarity with SQL, APIs, data integration, and system architecture concepts.
· Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
· Experience with process modeling and workflow improvement.
· Experience with data analysis and system integration efforts.
· Experience supporting enterprise application implementations.
