Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Calypso Java Developer Consultant to design, develop, customize, and integrate enterprise trading and risk management solutions. This role is responsible for enhancing Calypso applications, building scalable Java-based integrations, supporting cloud-native deployments, and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing financial technology solutions. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Java development, Calypso, cloud technologies, and enterprise system integrations within financial services.

Responsibilities:

·        Configure, customize, and extend Calypso application modules across multiple asset classes and trading functions.

·        Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, JBoss, messaging technologies, and ETL processes.

·        Build scalable integrations between Calypso and internal enterprise systems as well as external financial platforms.

·        Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support modern application architecture.

·        Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps best practices.

·        Deploy and support cloud-based applications using AWS and Infrastructure as Code tools.

·        Develop and optimize SQL queries, database structures, and data models.

·        Support application troubleshooting, performance tuning, testing, and production issue resolution.

·        Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.

·        Participate in system architecture planning, technical design, and software development lifecycle activities.

·        Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to development standards and security best practices.

Required Skills:

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

·        10+ years of software development experience, including application design, integrations, databases, testing, and troubleshooting.

·        5+ years of hands-on Calypso development experience.

·        Strong expertise developing solutions using the Calypso API.

·        Expert-level Java development experience.

·        Experience building REST APIs and microservices.

·        Strong knowledge of application servers and software development lifecycle methodologies.

·        Advanced SQL skills with experience in relational databases and data modeling.

·        Experience with AWS cloud services or Azure.

·        Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, Terraform, or similar.

·        Experience with enterprise integrations and messaging technologies.

·        Strong understanding of market risk, credit risk, and FX products.

·        Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

·        Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

·        Nice to Have:

 Experience with Nasdaq CapCloud or similar cloud environments.

·        Experience with Data Lakes and modern cloud data platforms.

·        Experience with alternative FX platforms such as Wall Street Systems or Spectrum.

·        Experience integrating with enterprise financial platforms and payment systems.

·        Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices and cloud-native application architecture.

·        Experience supporting large-scale enterprise financial systems.

·        Experience working in fully remote or distributed development teams.
