Job Description:

We Are Seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the stabilization, troubleshooting, and analysis of integrations between Workday and external benefits providers. This role will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, Workday functional and technical teams, integration developers, and external benefit provider teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to trace issues across multiple systems and determine whether the root cause is related to source data, Workday configuration, benefits or retirement plan configuration, integration logic, transaction processing, provider-side processing, or expected system behavior.

Responsibilities:

·         Analyze and troubleshoot Workday-to-benefits-provider integrations and the data exchanged between systems.

·         Trace employee lifecycle, benefits, and payroll-related transactions end-to-end, including:

·         Hires

·         Transfers

·         Job changes

·         Compensation changes

·         Payroll events

·         Terminations

·         Benefits eligibility and enrollment transactions

·         Contributions and reporting transactions

·         Investigate reported discrepancies and determine root causes, including data issues, Workday configuration, benefit plan configuration, integration logic or mapping, timing or processing issues, provider-side processing, or expected system behavior.

·         Review integration outputs, inbound and outbound files or messages, logs, reports, Workday transactions, and provider responses to identify where issues originate.

·         Work with benefits and retirement subject matter experts to understand applicable business rules, expected results, and business impacts.

·         Collaborate with Workday functional teams, developers, integration teams, benefit providers, vendors, and other stakeholders to validate findings and implement or recommend corrective actions.

·         Document root-cause analysis, findings, business rules, and recommended resolutions for both technical and business audiences.

·         Distinguish true system defects from situations where systems are operating as configured but the resulting behavior, business rule, or data relationship was not previously understood.

·         Develop and maintain end-to-end data flow diagrams illustrating how employee, payroll, retirement, and benefits transactions move through Workday integrations to external providers.

·         Track and communicate the status of assigned integration issues through resolution.

·         Validate fixes and confirm corrected transactions produce expected results across Workday and applicable external providers.

·         Identify recurring issues and trends that may require broader configuration, integration, data, or process changes.

·         Provide recommendations for configuration, integration, process, or data improvements.

Required Skills

·         3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting HCM ERP implementations, production stabilization, or complex system integrations.

·         3+ years of Workday experience, particularly with integrations, HCM, Benefits, Payroll, and employee lifecycle transactions.

·         3+ years of experience with retirement or pension benefit administration, including retirement benefit system configuration, plan eligibility rules, contribution processing, or related ERP benefit configuration.

·         3+ years of experience supporting Workday or another large ERP platform during implementation, post-go-live stabilization, or production operations.

·         Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to follow data and transactions across multiple systems and organizations.

·         Experience analyzing integration data, mappings, transformation rules, logs, reports, or similar technical artifacts.

·         Ability to understand complex business processes and translate business questions into specific technical or functional investigations.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·         Ability to work independently while managing multiple issues, identifying patterns, coordinating across teams, and driving problems toward resolution.

·         Experience supporting integrations with benefits providers, retirement systems, pension administrators, insurance carriers, payroll-related vendors, or similar external partners is highly desirable.

·         Familiarity with APIs, web services, middleware, integration platforms, XML/JSON, flat-file integrations, and data transformation concepts is desirable.

·         Experience developing data flow diagrams and documenting system dependencies, transaction behavior, and business rules is desirable.
