Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator 4 to oversee the planning, design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level databases. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle database administration, high availability configurations, disaster recovery processes, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to manage complex database systems, ensure data integrity, and support mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and administer Oracle enterprise databases with high availability configurations
· Oversee Oracle Data Guard management and database disaster recovery processes
· Perform RMAN backup and recovery operations
· Implement and manage Oracle advanced security features
· Conduct performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization of Oracle databases
· Support UNIX/Linux operating system environments for database requirements
· Coordinate physical changes to databases, including coding, testing, and implementation
· Design, maintain, and optimize logical and physical data models
· Establish and configure database parameters to ensure optimal performance
· Define and manage user access levels, permissions, and data security protocols
· Monitor database performance using utility programs and third-party tools
· Direct programmers and analysts in implementing database system changes
· Answer user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical assistance
· Ensure data integrity, eliminate redundancy, and maintain data dictionaries
· Perform data modeling, prototyping, and relational database design
· Execute recovery procedures and support agency disaster recovery strategies
· Assist in software installation, benchmarking, and database threshold testing
· Recommend efficiency improvements and ensure compliance with database standards
· Required Skills:
· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases, including Multitenant architecture, Data Guard, GoldenGate, PL/SQL, and Linux
· Strong expertise in Oracle advanced security, backup and recovery, and high availability configurations
· Proven ability to manage large-scale enterprise database environments
· In-depth knowledge of database structures, relational models, and current database technologies
· Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems in support of database operations
· Strong skills in database performance tuning and troubleshooting
· Knowledge of disaster recovery processes and security protocols
· Experience in computer systems analysis or programming work
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
· Nice To Have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
· Certifications in Oracle Database Administration or related technologies
· Familiarity with benchmarking, capacity planning, and emerging database technologies
