Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst to support quality assurance activities for modern web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts, along with hands-on experience using Microsoft DevOps for test case and test plan management. This role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, project managers, and other project team members to ensure applications meet functional, technical, and quality requirements. The successful candidate will also contribute to defect resolution, user acceptance testing, production validation, and continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
· Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and system requirements.
· Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing for web-based applications.
· Review business and technical requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, consistent, and testable.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and document acceptance criteria supporting application functionality and user requirements.
· Identify, document, track, and retest application defects while working closely with developers and business teams through resolution.
· Create, maintain, and validate test data to ensure application results align with established business requirements.
· Participate in requirements reviews, design sessions, project meetings, system walkthroughs, and other project activities.
· Coordinate testing activities across multiple projects and provide testing status, risks, issues, and recommendations to project teams and management.
· Assist with production validation, application releases, system upgrades, and change-management activities.
· Maintain QA documentation, testing evidence, defect logs, test results, and other project documentation in accordance with established standards.
· Use Microsoft DevOps to create, manage, execute, and track test plans and test cases.
· Recommend improvements to QA processes, testing methodologies, tools, and potential automation opportunities.
· Provide technical guidance and support to junior QA analysts and other team members.
· Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure applications meet functional and quality requirements.
· Ensure testing activities follow applicable security, development, documentation, and quality standards.
· Provide ongoing application support, troubleshoot reported issues, and assist with additional quality assurance activities as needed.
Required Skills:
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree required.
· 5+ years of professional experience with DevSecOps practices and technologies.
· Demonstrated experience using Microsoft DevOps, specifically for managing test plans and test cases.
· Experience working directly with customers and business stakeholders to develop acceptance criteria.
· Strong experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
· Experience performing functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
· Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and retesting software defects.
· Experience reviewing business and technical requirements to determine whether they are complete and testable.
· Strong understanding of software quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.
· Experience creating and maintaining test data and testing documentation.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to manage multiple testing activities and priorities in a project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting modernization of legacy applications into modern web-based platforms.
· Experience with QA process improvement and test automation opportunities.
· Experience providing guidance or mentorship to junior QA professionals.
· Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
· Experience supporting application releases, upgrades, production validation, and change-management activities.
