Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale, high-visibility strategic technology projects from initiation through successful completion. This role is responsible for providing project leadership, governance, planning, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level communication while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing complex enterprise initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, mitigating project risks, and applying industry-standard project management methodologies within large matrix organizations.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage large, complex strategic technology projects with executive-level visibility and organizational impact.
· Provide overall project leadership, governance, accountability, and oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, staffing plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
· Direct and coordinate day-to-day project activities, deliverables, and team performance to ensure successful project execution.
· Establish project governance processes and monitor project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk throughout the engagement.
· Manage executive-level stakeholder relationships through regular communication, status reporting, and strategic project updates.
· Facilitate executive sponsor meetings and present project health, milestones, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
· Coordinate project activities across multiple business units, technical teams, vendors, and external partners.
· Identify, assess, and resolve project risks, issues, conflicts, and competing priorities while escalating critical concerns when appropriate.
· Ensure projects adhere to established project management methodologies, governance standards, and organizational best practices.
· Perform long-term release planning and coordinate project dependencies across multiple initiatives and integrated systems.
· Support system development initiatives involving new application development, enhancements, and enterprise technology implementations.
· Analyze project performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
· Facilitate meetings, workshops, presentations, and training sessions for project teams and stakeholders.
· Foster collaboration, consensus building, and effective communication among technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support broader organizational project management objectives.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience working effectively within matrixed organizations and cross-functional team environments.
· 5+ years of experience resolving complex, high-priority conflicts and managing competing business and technical priorities.
· 5+ years of experience with data infrastructure concepts and data governance principles.
· 5+ years of experience applying Project Management methodologies, best practices, and governance frameworks.
· 5+ years of experience managing system development projects involving new applications and enhancements to existing systems.
· 5+ years of experience with enterprise information systems, data communications, hardware, and software technologies.
· 5+ years of experience communicating effectively with executive leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
· 5+ years of experience analyzing complex business and technical challenges and developing actionable solutions.
· 5+ years of experience facilitating meetings, workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder presentations.
· Strong experience building consensus, negotiating solutions, and coordinating activities across multiple teams.
· Excellent organizational, analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to executive audiences.
· Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining focus on quality, timelines, budget, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous experience managing projects within government or other public sector organizations.
· Experience serving in multiple project leadership roles such as Project Manager, Program Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar positions.
· Experience managing large enterprise technology initiatives involving multiple vendors and cross-functional teams.
· Familiarity with enterprise project governance, portfolio management, and strategic planning processes.
· Professional Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is considered a plus.
