Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in laboratory information systems and health data integration to support the implementation and ongoing support of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), specifically LabWare v8. The ideal candidate will have experience with HL7 architecture and development, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable deliverables. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, end-users, and leadership to ensure efficient lab operations and system alignment with organizational priorities.

Responsibilities:

·         Support implementation and ongoing integration of LIMS (LabWare v8) and APIs.

·         Develop, enhance, and support HL7 integration architecture and solutions.

·         Collaborate with LIMS analysts and leadership to align technical solutions with data security and informatics priorities.

·         Troubleshoot system functionality issues and recommend effective resolutions.

·         Identify system performance metrics and lead initiatives to improve performance and functionality.

·         Analyze cost-benefit scenarios to determine the most efficient solutions.

·         Assist in collecting and documenting data requirements, converting them into user stories and test scripts.

·         Lead and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features and system upgrades.

·         Create technical documentation, workflows, and process diagrams.

·         Train and support end-users on LIMS and system functionalities.

Required Skills:

·         Demonstrated experience with LIMS (LabWare preferred) implementation and maintenance.

·         Proficiency in HL7, XML, CCDA, and medical/laboratory data formats (e.g., LOINC, SNOMED CT, ICD-10).

·         Ability to gather, document, and translate business and technical requirements.

·         Skilled in evaluating, testing, and implementing software functionality to meet user needs.

·         Experience working with relational databases and using SQL for data retrieval.

·         Familiarity with laboratory processes, terminology, and regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, FDA, CDC, EPA, TNI).

·         Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·         Proven ability to manage multiple tasks across complex projects with minimal supervision.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lucidchart or other diagramming software.

·         Strong time management, efficiency, and organizational aptitude.
