Job Description:
We Are Seeking a skilled Data Scientist/Developer to support the design, development, and evaluation of advanced analytics solutions leveraging natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and modern software development practices. This role will focus on building proof-of-concept applications, developing statistical models, integrating data sources, and validating the effectiveness of technology solutions. The Data Scientist/Developer will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, well documented, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Process Improvement
· Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement using data science and automation.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current decision-making processes and resource allocation methods.
· Identify data sources supporting operational processes and evaluate their effectiveness.
· Document process gaps and propose technology-driven improvements.
Solution Design and Development
· Design and propose improved processes using machine learning and natural language processing technologies.
· Develop statistical models and analytical solutions to support improved outcomes.
· Evaluate data sources and adjust solution designs based on data availability or system changes.
· Conduct technical design reviews and document architectural decisions.
· Ensure data protection and security considerations are incorporated into solution design.
Prototype Development and Implementation
· Design and develop proof-of-concept applications to demonstrate technology capabilities.
· Build prototype solutions using programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, SQL, or similar technologies.
· Integrate solutions with available data sources or simulated datasets.
· Develop and manage databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
· Conduct testing and validation of models and applications to ensure functionality and performance.
· Measure and document the potential impact of developed solutions.
· Demonstrate prototype solutions to stakeholders and gather feedback.
Project Collaboration and Delivery
· Participate in Agile development processes and team collaboration activities.
· Support technical demonstrations and stakeholder presentations.
· Document technical processes, methodologies, and outcomes.
· Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Support deployment of analytical solutions in pilot or production environments.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
· Experience developing machine learning or AI solutions from concept through implementation.
· Experience developing statistical models and analytical solutions using first-principles approaches.
· Strong knowledge of mathematics including calculus, linear algebra, and statistics.
· Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
· Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and SQL.
· Understanding of model validation, testing methodologies, and performance measurement.
· Experience integrating multiple data sources into analytical solutions.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience working in Agile development environments.
Preferred Skills
· Experience working with natural language processing or large language models (LLMs).
· Experience with web development technologies such as React, Node.js, or Next.js.
· Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar environments.
· Experience deploying analytical models into pilot or production environments.
· Experience working in regulated or public-sector environments.
· Experience supporting advanced analytics or AI-driven initiatives.
· Experience presenting technical solutions to business stakeholders.
