Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to lead the implementation, integration, and support of complex laboratory information systems and enterprise applications. This role will be responsible for translating laboratory and business workflows into technical system requirements, supporting system implementations, and ensuring applications meet operational, regulatory, and data integrity requirements. The Senior Systems Analyst will also act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders while supporting application enhancements, system integrations, and ongoing operational support.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis and System Design
· Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
· Translate operational workflows into system requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
· Conduct gap analysis between current processes and system capabilities.
· Develop process maps and workflow documentation.
· Support solution design and recommend system enhancements or automation opportunities.
System Implementation and Integration
· Lead or support implementation and configuration of enterprise applications.
· Coordinate with vendors and IT teams on system upgrades, integrations, and issue resolution.
· Support data migration activities and system implementation projects.
· Assist in validation activities and ensure system functionality meets operational requirements.
· Support system integrations using APIs, data exchange processes, or other integration methods.
User Support, Training, and Documentation
· Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and system documentation.
· Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and user acceptance testing activities.
· Develop training plans and training materials for system users.
· Provide ongoing user support and troubleshooting assistance.
· Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
· Support continuous improvement of workflows and reporting processes.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
· 8+ years of experience in requirements elicitation and documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories).
· 8+ years of experience with process mapping and workflow documentation.
· 8+ years of experience conducting gap analysis and solution design.
· 8+ years of experience managing stakeholder communication and collaboration.
· Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
· Experience supporting enterprise system implementations and data migration projects.
· Experience creating training plans, documentation, and training materials.
· Experience using Azure DevOps or similar project management tools.
· Understanding of system integrations including APIs, HL7, or ETL processes.
· Knowledge of SQL and basic database concepts.
· Experience using data analysis or reporting tools.
Preferred Skills
· Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) such as Clinisys, STARLIMS, or LabWare.
· Experience supporting laboratory or scientific workflows such as sample tracking, testing, and reporting.
· Experience supporting instrument integrations or automated laboratory systems.
· Experience using business intelligence or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
· Experience supporting enterprise IT systems in highly regulated environments.
